I've got loads of things to think about,
lots of stuff I have to do.
I haven't got much time to do anything I want to do,
and I feel like I'm wasting time when I could be productive.
Next time I have my affairs in order I'm going to make sure it stays that way.

[music |how beautiful you are - the cure]

Congratulations are due.  I went almost an entire week without skipping any school. Sort of.

And period 5 today was in four words, more fun than football.  Trampolining.  Freja, Laila and Gloria where pretending to be scared of my style, claiming it was dangerous and the likes.  I admit they where scared, but only by the realization of their own inadequacy.  except maybe frejas expression, the pure happiness, vagueness and concentration of bouncing.

I will spend my weekend on the procuring of a job and finding pleasure.  A job maybe in flowers.

Fabric tonight.  Should be jokes.

[mood | awake]

This saturday Conrad told me about an asian film festival in London.

We decided to go and see three.....exremes, which is an anthology,

with directors Takeshi Miike, Fruit Chan and Chan-wook Park each directing a shortish film.

Takeshi Miike's film was Box, it was the kind of film david lynch would make if he had an unhealthy obsession with dreams, freaks, contortion artists and young japanese girls.  The story centers around a young tortured author called Kyoko, who has constant buried alive dreams and is haunted by the ghost of her dead sister.  But this isn't your usual evil spirit, and curse film, it takes a more realistic and physcological approach.  She is eventually forced to confront the nightmarish events of her childhood as a twin contortionist.  This is a very scary and intelligent film, from the Japanese master of the Genre.

The second, from Hong Kong director Fruit Chan defiantely had the most inspired and original plot of the three.  "Dumplings" follows mrs Lee, an aging tv star, who will go to any lengths to retain her youth, and eventually falls in with the seemingly young Aunty Mei.  Mei makes Dumplings in her mysterious apartment, which allow the eater to become beautiful and young again.  But we find that the grisly secret ingredient are unborn babies, and the crunch of the dumpling is their unformed bones.

The best is usually saved for last, and Chan-wook Park’s "Cut" proves to be no exception. The director of Joint Security Area and Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance has been a long-time favorite among Asian cinema fans and proved himself to be one of the world’s top filmmakers with last year’s critically acclaimed masterpiece Oldboy. Park’s Cut involves a big-time movie director who is abducted from his home by a psychopathic film extra. Waking on the closed set of his new film, the stunned filmmaker finds himself forced to take part in a long series of mind games and one final sadistic choice.
It's very difficult to praise Cut without delving into heavy spoilers. But, as viewers of Park’s films already know, this seemingly simple story gives way to a totally cerebral experience.  There are no true protagonists or antagonists - only real and flawed characters that are placed in the most outlandish situations imaginable. The horrific violence is executed in a way that is both beautiful and excruciating. All the trademarks are to be found here as the director once again serves up the kind of edgy filmmaking that has been absent from the screen in recent years. In the end Cut emerges as the most brutal, intense, and imaginative installment and perfectly continues Chan-wook Park’s streak of cinematic excellence.

1. what's your impression of me from my journal?
2. what do i remind you of?
3. do you ever connect with the stuff i say on here? if yes, is there anything in particular you recall?
4. do i sound pretentious?
5. why do you think i write this journal?
6. would you ever make me a mixtape?
7. if yes, give me a sample of some of the songs you would put on it.

If anyone wants to see something cooler than cucumbers
you should come round to my house and look at what's on my
bedroom wall. I could upload a picture but....unless the house falls down
I'd have to walk up the stairs, and I do that for no-man.

The three days prior to this have been spent in Edinburgh,
it's been rather nice. The streets are much cleaner, and the air fresher.
No inconceivable amount of chewing-gum stains on the pavement.

What's happening soon, who's going to what fireworks?

The evenings around my house are very film noir at the moment,
the dragon breath makes it look like everyone is smoking.
I'm just waiting for news of a bloody murder behind the snooker club.
People will be getting ideas in their heads.

Whatever happened to the days when autumn was just one big red/orange leaf?

I have so many conspiracy theories, and I will probably be hit
in the back by a firework, or eaten by some stalker in the London
fog, in the next few days. Just in case I bid you farewell

[music |love will tear us appart]

Work is a real weight on me at the moment, and it makes me tired.
I feel like making a mix-tape, but for who? I think i'll just choose
someone and make them one. or write someone a poem or something.

The world I live in sometimes feels like it was made at ikea.
I hate Ikea, and the way things feel, its unimaginative, and tries
to suck the life from you. "IKEA MUST BURN" its just the feeling it gives me.

"I want to see mountains again," and pine trees and snow. And somewhere with proper autumns. and someone to join me in my quest. an appetite for quests.
Really really tall trees and perhaps living in one. I must sound like a real hippy, so be it. Really I'm just a "(boy) searching for my own peace of mind."
Phtotgraphy is feeling really good, and suddenly even more appetising than it did before. Does anyone want to go on a photography day with me?

the place in spring summer autumn winter and spring , i want to stay there and a
beautiful young girl to arrive, and for us too fall in love.  Am i being slightly silly?
but is it too much to ask for.  anything is too much to ask for, because there's no-one to ask?
but it would be most pleasant wouldn't it.
I like playing drums with my hands, but i can't use a drum kit anyway.
My brother broke his hand the other day, and went to hospital today. he just showed me the x-ray and one of his bones is completely spread over another bone.  He's a real idiot sometimes

ps. joanna, can you bring in mononoke tommorrow if you've watched it already

[music |everyday - buddy holly]

I started my piano lessons today, which i'm really happy about. I've been waiting for ages but my piano teacher just had a baby. It's exciting at the moment, about college's and that, choosing what and where.

I bought eternal sunshine, it wasn't planned, I just found myself in the shop with the money and felt compelled. Can someone pleeeasssee have a party where everyone has to dress up, like as pirates and stuff, and we all eat jelly and ice-cream and play jokes games. everyone knows they want it.

SAM ANDREWS, you should listen to "everyday", it will remind you of fantastic times on the
ski trip, because it was our song. xxxxx
